Hello World!

You've stumbled upon the official blog for www.tweetordie.com. Pleased to meet you. Let us tell you a little bit about ourselves.

tweetordie was born of the desire for data. With Twitter receiving 10,000+ tweets a minute, it was the obvious spring board. However, the amount of data flowing through Twitter is almost too massive, so tweetordie wanted to narrow it down, eliminate and excess, and pick data the people might find interesting. Now, 1 month before the 2008 election, what could be more interesting to get a "twitter pulse" on than what (and where, and when, and who) is being tweeted politically.

Now, political data by itself is very uninteresting. There are very few people that enjoy looking at spreadsheets with 20,000 rows. Thus, tweetordie presents you with maps, charts, and graphs, all dynamically generated using the Google APIs. Go ahead, click on the drop down again, see what has changed since you last looked.

Wanna see your tweet on the front page? Tweet out a message saying "I'm voting for McCain" or "Obama has my vote" or better yet, "Check out www.tweetordie.com for the latest on Twitter votes for Obama/Biden and McCain/Palin". We'd love the publicity ;)

tweetordie.com is rapidly expanding it's features and enhancing its presentation. Follow us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/tweetordie and stay tuned for the latest and greatest.
